PGA Tour Secures Another Betting Operator with bet365 Deal
Add bet365 to the list of PGA Tour gambling partnerships. The largest gambling operator in the United Kingdom agreed to a three-year content deal with the Tour on Tuesday, joining DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Pointsbet, and Ceasars as official partners.
The Tour Looks to International Gambling Markets
With more than 30 million customers, bet365 hopes to grow the Tour’s gambling reach beyond the United States, becoming the professional golf organization’s first betting operator from outside North America. Fans in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia will be provided with exclusive odds from the international sports-betting giant on leaderboards and player profile pages on PGATour.com and on TOURCast, a service that allows fans to follow the shots of their favorite players on 3D renderings of golf courses.
bet365 will have PGA Tour marketing rights in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and Canada.
“The bet365 group are delighted to be working with one of the most iconic brands in global sport,” a bet365 spokesperson said. “Throughout this partnership with PGA TOUR, bet365 will strive to continue delivering a market-leading in-play experience to our golf customers, both across our global sites and the PGA TOUR platforms.”
The IMG Arena Golf Event Centre, which makes it easier and more efficient for fans to live-bet golf events, was first integrated by bet365. It is the “only place to find fast, comprehensive, shot-by-shot data and markets, live streaming which is purpose-built for in-play betting, and interactive course visualizations.”
Sportsbooks are realizing the financial potential of promoting golf as a viable betting option. FanDuel will air a new television commercial featuring three-time major champion Jordan Spieth, rising star Will Zalatoris, Harold Varner III, and Abraham Ancer.
