NFL Week 7 Betting Locks
With Week 7 getting ready to kick off, there are a lot of impact players missing this game. However, we are going to dive into three different games to show where we should be locking in our bets and exactly why. All of these lines and spreads are courtesy of Bovada so it can be a little bit different depending on where you end up placing the bet and what time as these lines can change a bit.
Denver Broncos (+1.5) vs Cleveland Browns
We might as well dive into the Thursday Night Football game and I am incredibly shocked on how the Cleveland Browns are still considered the favorites. Quarterback Baker Mayfield, running back Nick Chubb, running back Kareem Hunt, and cornerback A.J. Green are all listed as out. That means backup quarterback Case Keenum will be starting and that scares me a lot.
The Cleveland Browns are also a run-heavy team and both their important running backs are not playing. Denver’s defense is already elite and with a depleted offensive unit for Cleveland, it does not compute in my mind why the Broncos are still considered an underdog.
New Orleans Saints (-4.5) vs Seattle Seahawks
Monday Night Football will have the Seattle Seahawks without quarterback Russell Wilson and running back Chris Carson, as both are currently out on Injured Reserve. Everyone was concerned about how Jameis Winston would look for the New Orleans Saints, but he has 12 touchdowns compared to three interceptions and wide receiver Michael Thomas will not be activated here.
I do not trust the Seahawks to score enough points to make this a one-possession game so go with the New Orleans Saints getting 4.5 points in this game on the road.
Indianapolis Colts (+4) vs San Francisco 49ers
The Indianapolis Colts are coming off a win and the San Francisco 49ers are riding a three-game losing streak. During those three games, San Francisco is allowing 25 points per game. Carson Wentz should have the ability to have a big game as he has thrown nine touchdowns compared to just a single interception. Jimmy Garoppolo was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice while Trey Lance did not practice.
The Colts are getting points on the road here and seem to have the best ability to win the game outright out of all of the underdogs on this slate. Indianapolis is going to be able to lock up wide receiver Deebo Samuel and I do not believe in the San Francisco running attack in this game. Give me the four points on the road and I will enjoy Sunday Night Football.
Conclusion
The NFL Week 7 slate is very interesting as a lot of impactful teams are out on their bye week (Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Chargers). This week is going to be a fun slate as all of the primetime games are worth watching and could make you a lot of extra bankroll in your pocket if you follow some of my advice.
