Top 3 Bets for NBA Friday

Top 3 Bets for NBA Friday

The NBA season finally started this past Tuesday, which was a delight to fans. We finally get to see the best players in this sport play at a high level. We love this game.

Also, it is time to bet on NBA games. Betting has become a norm for the sport and the public loves to participate. Friday is payday and is a great time to try and make some cash.

Friday’s slate of games is long. There are 10 games for tomorrow. There are plenty of games to put some money on.

However, there are three bets to definitely take a long look at for Friday. Below are my Top 3 bets for NBA Friday!

3. New York Knicks (-4.5) vs Orlando Magic

Conventional wisdom would say that the New York Knicks would be too tired from tha double overtime game against the Boston Celtics from Wednesday night. However, the Knicks are only favored by – 4.5. They are a significantly better team than the Orlando Magic, who lost by 26 to the San Antonio Spurs.

The tired legs could play a factor, but the talent will be too much. Also, it was only the first game of the season. There is no need to have a resting game this early.

Julius Randle looked like he was a legitimate star in this league. Mitchell Robinson is back and was playing excellent defense. The bench looks like it has some depth to it.

Tom Thibodeau is not going to let his guys lose an easy game because of fatigue. Expect a potential blowout win for the Knicks on Friday.

2. San Antonio Spurs vs Denver Nuggets (-8)

The Denver Nuggets have started off on a great foot this season. They exercised some demons by beating the team that swept them in last season’s playoffs, the Phoenix Suns. That Suns team is supposed to be a Finals contender and the Nuggets went on the road and beat them handily.

The San Antonio Spurs had a big win, but it was against the Orlando Magic. We expect the Spurs to not be a good team this year, despite that blowout victory. They might not be as bad, but the Nuggets have the MVP.

Nikola Jokic already looks like an MVP candidate again. He is in great shape and still has that elegant touch. The Nuggets are favored by -8 and that might not even be enough.

A blowout for the Nuggets, who are at home, seems extremely possible.

1. Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Lakers ( U 227.5)

The Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers have not gotten off to the start they wanted. The Suns lost to the team that they swept last postseason. Then the Lakers lost to the Golden State Warriors, despite a bad Stephen Curry game.

The over/under for this game is currently at 227.5, which should seem high for these two teams. The Lakers scored 114 points on Tuesday, but the Warriors do not have the best defense around. The Suns defense, judging from last season, was pretty good.

LeBron James shot 11 threes, while making five. That does not seem likely to happen for a second straight outing. This Lakers roster is not filled with lethal shooters.

The Suns have some shooters, but still play at a slower pace. Chris Paul loves to play at his methodical pace, while controlling the game. Their superstar, Devin Booker, uses his mid-range game to get his offense going.

Both teams are not super fast pace, offensive machines. The total score should be lower than 227.5.
