49ers Visit Seattle to Kick Off Week 15
The article can go below… Be sure to break it up into 2-3 sentence paragraphs. Always have a few Heading 2 to describe the next sections. The San Francisco 49ers head to Seattle to take on divisional foe Seattle Seahawks in a pivotal NFC West matchup to kickoff Week 15. The game is set to kickoff at 8:15 p.m. EST on Amazon Prime TV. San Francisco enters the game atop the NFC West with a 9-4 record, and the Seahawks are close behind in second with a 7-6 record.
San Francisco has looked unbeatable as of late, winning their last 6 matchups. Seattle, on the other hand, has looked good at times but entered their matchup this Thursday coming off a loss to the Carolina Panthers in the previous week. The 49ers offense has started to click, even with new QB Brock Purdy, and their defense has been unstoppable.
Look for these trends to continue this week, as the 49ers will cover the spread (-3.5 ) on the road against the Seahawks.
49ers Defense has been Elite
The 49er defense has been one of the best defenses throughout the league week-in and week-out this year. They are currently giving up 15.2/points per game, which is good enough to be the best in the NFL. In addition, they rank in the top quartile of the league for run defense and top half of the league in pass defense.
San Francisco has also dominated teams defensively in the second half as of late. The 49ers defense has given up 14 points in the second half over the course of their last 6 games. Yes, you read that right. This defense will propel the team to an easy cover on Thursday night.
San Francisco has Found a Groove Offensively
Even with QBs Trey Lance and Jimmy Garrapolo out, rookie Brock Purdy out of Iowa State, and 2022 NFL Draft “Mr. Irrelevant”, has done a more than fine job in the last week and a half. In his first career start against Tom Brady in Week 14 against the Bucs, Purdy threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns in the 49ers rout of Tampa Bay, where they won 35-7.
McCaffrey has also been quite the force in the backfield, with over 140 scrimmage yards in each of his last two games and three total touchdowns. Brock Purdy doesn’t have to be special either. He knows his top-tier defense will have his back. With Burdy at the reigns of the offense and the NFL’s best defense behind him, expect the 49ers to cover the spread with ease this Thursday and start your weekend of betting off right with a San Francisco spread winner.
