The Peoples Picks For NCAAF, NFL, And UFC

NCAA

LSU proved to be one of the best peoples picks as an underdog to take last week in College Football, completing the upset to Nick Saban’s Alabama squad and moving up into the 7th spot in rankings for the playoffs. Don’t believe the noise saying that this next matchup against Arkansas is going to be close.

You can easily rely on Jayden Daniels and this hungry Tigers squad to beat the Hogs and keep advancing into the standings. Why does everyone hate TCU? It’s beyond me. What’s not to like? A solid QB, a great receiving core, savvy coaching, a solid line, and rushing, and a tough core defensive unit. And that’s going to lose to a three-loss team in Texas?

Maybe, but I doubt it, expect the Horned Frogs to shock the world once again this week and take it home to a 10-0 record. Clemson falling to Notre Dame was my previous lookout alarm that I set in the previous week and it connected. Look to see Alabama seal a win and get back on track verse Mississippi and that sums it up.

UFC

We haven’t done one of these in a while but this was just too fun to miss some peoples picks for UFC. With glorious fights such as Chandler vs Poirier, and Zhang vs. Esparaza, we get to see the face of the franchise and his division face in Israel Adesanya his long-time arch nemesis in Alex Pereira this Saturday night in Madison Square Garden.

With Israel and Alex’s rivalry going way back to their kickboxing days where we used to see blow after blow from fist-to-face contact nonstop, both of these fighters have massively evolved and fans and the UFC are anxious to see who can win it under the big lights.

With Alex having probably a better standing game as he has defeated all his opponents since entering UFC and defeated Israel twice, even once by knockout, it’ll be interesting to see how he adjusts to a bigger ring space and a setting that could require a mix of grappling and wrestling with obviously including punches.

With Israel being a “Kung Fu Panda” and a Jitsu master in itself, while I do believe this fight can go to the distance, I can see Israel winning in a decision by takedown points or by TKO through submission. The only chance Alex has is to get a big-time knockout against the reigning champ. That’s why this betting line is so close.

I’ll take Israel at -210 for the peoples picks here, most of your friends will take the underdog in Pereira to try to make a couple more bucks. For the other matchups, you can expect to witness two big knockouts from Poirier and Zhang against their counter opponents.

NFL

My NFL peoples picks can be seen as questionable for some but I’ve been mostly correct when it comes to bets involving a pigskin this year. I like Brady to take last week’s win as fuel and momentum for them to win once again in a tight one against Seattle.

The Dolphins will keep rolling when they invite Cleveland this week into their Hard Rock Stadium. The Cowboys are the best value and biggest lock of the week in my opinion with them coming rested off a bye week to take on Aaron Rodgers in Lambeau after they just lost pretty well to the Detroit Lions in their previous outing. Take Dallas -250 and watch it put a smile on Jerry Jones’ face.
