The College Football, World Series, and NFL Picks for the People
Wild Week of College Football
There are a lot of areas you could get lost in with this upcoming week of College Football ahead. With Tennessee taking the number one spot over Georgia, expect them to keep that same spot by the end of the week as well when they beat the Bulldogs and lock up that sport for good.
With Vols QB Hendon Hooker outperforming Bulldogs’ Stetson Bennett in all categories at the quarterback position, I think that will just be enough trouble for Georgia to not handle and expect a close game and in my prediction a close victory for Tennessee.
Also look to stay away from Clemson this week, especially with taking their spread going into testy waters in Notre Dame and with the overall confusion of Tigers Head Coach Dabo’s in his QB decision-making.
The TCU Horned Frogs will roll over Texas Tech and you can even take their spread if you’d like. You could very much so see this squad in the top 4 by the end of the year with the way they are currently performing.
The biggest matchup of upset you could see this week is LSU once again knocking off a big shot in Alabama. Probable? No. Possible? Certainly. With the Tigers-led team in stud QB Jayden Daniels, not only are they at home, but their offense recently has caught fire and could cause Alabama’s not-so-elite defense this season some trouble.
With Saban assuring his team will get on the right track to make the College Football Playoff this season, a win against tenth-ranked LSU will most likely punch them a ticket in that department at least in the 4th seeding. Besides that, number 2 Ohio State gets to sit back and take a break this week and see how it all pans out.
World Series
Expect the Phillies to win this World Series. Besides Framber Valdez, Houston’s pitching is very underwhelming and can not stand with Philly in the hitting department at the moment as well. The energy in Citizens Bank Park is 12 times the excitement that in Minute Maid Park, and I think it’s showing in each of the team’s performances.
While Altuve is finding himself again at the plate, Philadelphia has had too many players do the same, and Harper’s had a lot of insurance to back his obviously amazing postseason.
With Aaron Nola on the mound again, I see Philly taking a 3-1 dominating lead after this homestand as Nola is due to get back on track and for Philadelphia to probably end it in 6 at Houston. Worse comes to worst you’ll see them crowned champions in 7.
What About Pro Pigskin?
Dolphins and Vikings solidified their playoff chances as we saw Minnesota add another offensive weapon in tight end TJ Hockeson and Miami increase their pass rush capabilities with the acquisition of pro bowler Bradley Chubb.
Minnesota with a cruise past the Commanders whose owner is currently bailing out on them and Miami will stomp on the Bears in their upcoming matchup as the already lackluster Chicago defense just lost their best player on that side of the field in Roquan Smith to the Baltimore Ravens.
