Best Games For This Weekend’s Soccer Matches
The International games have concluded and we are back to Club Soccer this weekend! With the end of the season approaching soon, these big games will matter more than ever for the standings.
Let’s dive into some of the biggest soccer games across Europe this weekend.
Manchester City vs Liverpool
One of the best soccer rivalries in the modern day Premier League. These two teams have matched very evenly against one another in the past. Liverpool have been going through a slump this season and have not looked their strongest.
Liverpool currently sits in 6th place in the standings. This has been one of the most disappointing seasons they’ve had in the Juergen Klopp era.
Manchester City need to win almost every game from here on out in order to race Arsenal to 1st place. I expect Juergen Klopp’s side to not make it easy against City this weekend.
If there’s one team that can put a dent in Pep Guardiola’s team, Liverpool is that one team. If City do not win this game, this will further push the advantage for Arsenal to win the Premier League title.
Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich
Bayern have not been having the kind of season compared to their normal standards. In what might be the most important Bundesliga game of the season, Bayern will need to win this one in order to reclaim 1st place from Dortmund.
Bayern recently fired their manager Julian Nagelsmann, and have found a new replacement in former Chelsea Manager, Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel will be working his first game for Bayern in this match where the stakes are higher than ever.
Dortmund’s form recently has been incredible. However, the match is being played in Munich, this might be the advantage for Bayern as playing at home could push them to play stronger.
If Dortmund can pull a win off at Munich, this will help them to claim the Bundesliga title this season. I expect the Bundesliga title race to be the most competitive ending out of any of the European soccer leagues.
Manchester United vs Newcastle
Newcastle has been one of the most impressive teams to rise this season. Their incredible soccer team form has helped them reach 5th place.
Manchester United need to pick up on a hot form as they sit in 3rd place. They will need to secure a win in this one to prevent Newcastle from climbing to 4th place.
United is coming off a recent 7-0 loss to Liverpool and a scoreless draw against Southampton. They really need to turn things around in this matchup to continue their great season form.
This game will matter a lot because of how close the Top 4 race is coming down. With Spurs firing Antiono Conte this week, this could benefit both these teams to finish in the Top 4.
This game will be a tight one, and we could end up seeing a fierce draw.
