Betting Preview of the Soccer Matches You Won’t Want to Miss this Week

The madness never stops in the world of soccer and there’s another stacked lineup of matches in the coming week. This slate of domestic matchups are the five games that I’ll have my eyes on for the next few days. Below I’ll provide a betting preview of five of the best soccer matches in the coming week and my picks in each matchup.

FA Cup Semi Finals – Brighton Hove & Albion vs. Manchester United

Brighton(+130) Draw(+275) ManU(+200)

Brighton Hove & Albion (+130) will be hosting Manchester United (+200) for the Semi Finals match of the FA Cup on Sunday April 23 at 11:30 am EST. In somewhat of a surprise, Brighton entered the match as favorites over United, despite sitting 4 spots and 10 points below them in the Premier League.

It is worth noting that Manchester will be without Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, and Marcus Rashford, but I still think United have the better squad here and at +200 odds, I think it’s hard to pass up. Nevertheless, Brighton still have a very talented squad and this match promises to bring some high powered offensive play as they duke it out for a spot in the Final. This looks to be one of the most exciting upcoming soccer matches this week.

La Liga – Barcelona vs. Atletico Madrid

Barca(-105) Draw(+240) Atletico(+325)

Current La Liga leaders Barcelona (-105) host Atletico Madrid (+325) at the famous Camp Nou for the second meeting of the season after Barcelona defeated Atletico 1-0 in January. This soccer match is scheduled to kick off early on Sunday April 23 at 10:15 am EST. Barcelona enter as heavy favorites in this one, but Atletico is still one of the best sides in Spain.

Atletico Madrid currently sit 3rd on the La Liga table and 13 points below Barcelona, but Diego Simone’s squad has played some very brilliant soccer. I’m taking Barcelona in this one because Xavi has them playing at a different level at the moment, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Atletico came away from this one with a point, or maybe even three.

Serie A – Juventus vs. Napoli

Juve(+187) Draw(+220) Napoli(+163)

Juventus recently had 15 points returned to them following an appeal of their penalty for illegal transfer activities and now find themselves in 3rd on the Serie A table and in place for a spot in the Champions League next season. Their celebrations will have to be brief though as they host current leaders and soon to be champions of Serie A Napoli on Sunday April 23 at 2:45 pm EST.

Napoli (+163) unexpectedly are favored over Juventus (+187) in this one and I can understand why. After their Champions League defeat, Napoli only have Serie A to worry about, which they’re only two victories away from claiming the 2023 Scudetto. Napoli are my pick in this one as the combination play of Victor Osimhen and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia may be the deadliest in the world at the moment, but Juventus will surely provide some dashing play in this one as well.

Premier League – Manchester City vs. Arsenal

ManCity(-165) Draw(+480) Ars(+360)

In what is most likely the best and most important match of the 2023 Premier League campaign, current table leaders Arsenal (+360) will travel to Manchester as heavy underdogs to the reigning Premier League champions Manchester City (-165). Arsenal’s grip on the title has slowly loosened and the inevitable team that is Manchester City have emerged.

Manchester City have a lot to focus on after qualifying for the Champions League Semi Finals, but as they sit with 2 games in hand while only 5 points behind Arsenal in the Premier League race, I’m sure Pep Guardiola will have his squad at full attention. However, I’ve loved watching Arsenal play this season and I think they’re deserving of the title this year. I think Arsenal will stop their slide and unexpectedly take down City in their matchup on Wednesday April 26 at 3 pm EST.

Coppa Italia Semi Finals – Inter Milan vs. Juventus

Inter(+100) Draw(+245) Juve(+295)

The final entry on my list features Juventus (+295) for the second time as they’re set to travel to Milan to take on Inter Milan (+100) for the 1st leg of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday April 26 at 3 pm. The Coppa Italia is at the closing stages of the competition and with Fiorentina and Cremonese on the other side of the bracket, I’m willing to bet that the winner of this matchup will be adding a trophy to their collection.

Inter Milan have proven to be one of the best sides in the world after reaching the Semi Finals stage of the Champions League, but that’s not the only competition they’ve been dominating this season. This Milan side has breezed past their opponents thus far in the competition and I expect them to squeeze a victory past Juventus in this clash. As I mentioned above, I think Juventus has a good squad, but with their matchup against Napoli just a few days prior, I think some tired legs will come into play in this one.
