Florida Panthers Force Game 7 After Wild Win In Sunrise

The Florida Panthers defeated the Boston Bruins by a score of 7-5 in Game 6 of the First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The high scoring battle could very well end up being the most entertaining game of the postseason.

Matthew Tkachuk – Florida Panthers

The Panthers were propelled to victory by star forward and MVP nominee Matthew Tkachuk. Tkachuk had 2 goals and 1 assist on 4 shots, all beside his regular physical and tough-guy style of play.

Third Period Theatrics

The Panthers took some especially inopportune penalties during the game which gave the bruins more chances than they ever should have had to get back into the game. Florida was, at times, very careless with the puck in their defensive zone and suffered a shorthanded goal off of a turnover late in the third period.

That was, only for Matthew Tkachuk to come back down to the other end of the ice 27 seconds later to tie the game again.

Linus Ullmark – Boston Bruins

Boston’s Linus Ullmark has been underwhelming the past few games – which is really to say the least. Ullmark was sensational for 3 out of the first 4 games of the series and was looking unsolvable.

It has come out recently that there are loose rumors swirling that either Ullmark is nursing some sort of injury or simply if the Panthers have figured out the future vezina winning goaltender.

Whatever the case is, Ullmark will need to gather himself before a game 7 matchup at home, where he has looked shaky in his past 2 starts against the Panthers in the postseason. Fans and bettors should be wary of a Bruins team that has absolutely no momentum and a Panthers team with all the confidence in the world.

I expect the Panthers to bring their most polished game all series, while I am totally unsure what to expect from a bruins team that is searching for answers right now. With the Bruins reeling, the Florida Panthers at an underdog price of +195 and a +1.5 spread odds of -125 cannot be passed on.

Give me the Panthers in 7, or at least an overtime game for the +1.5.
