Betting in Brazil

Stake.com became UFC’s first-ever official betting partner in Latin America and Asia in 2021. A press release said the partnership will now extend to Brazil, where the mixed martial arts giant hopes to unlock a potential betting market in a country that helped develop ultimate fighting into an international sport.

Brazil is a crucial fan hub for the UFC. About 35 million fans emanate from the largest country in South America.

“Stake.com has been a great partner this past year, and we’re thrilled to continue the relationship,” said Nick Smith, vice president of global partnerships for the UFC. “With sports betting becoming more widely accessible, we have added Brazil, a very important emerging gaming market, to a far-reaching collaboration that already included key regions within Latin America and Asia

Stake.com is a Valued UFC Sponsor

The partnership with UFC is essential to Stake.com brand awareness. Stake.com signage is featured inside the Octagon during certain Pay-Per-View and Fight Night events throughout the year. The Curacao-based betting operator will be the presenting sponsor for UFC events that are held in Brazil.

UFC and Stake.com will also work together on creating original content that will be shared on various social media platforms and promotions, as well as more VIP experiences for fans.

Brand Development for UFC Athletes

An annual brand ambassador fund will afford participating UFC athletes with paid marketing opportunities. UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, one of the most bankable stars in the sport, is Stake.com’s most important global ambassador.

Adesanya will promote exclusive Stake.com betting promotions, participate in sponsorship activations, and make appearances.

“Stake is the world’s leading crypto betting platform and I’m very pleased to be sponsored by them,” Adesanya said. “They’ve risen to the top of their field very quickly and the partnership presents the perfect opportunity to align with a brand whose ethos and ambitions so closely reflect mine.”

“The Last Stylebender” will defend his title against Jared Cannonier at UFC 276 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev, the headliner of International Fight Week and the biggest UFC event of the summer.

How to Bet on UFC

MMA is one of the most exciting sports to bet on in the world, but the betting lingo can get confusing.

For new-comers and beginners to fight betting, DraftKings has a guide for every player’s questions.

The most common MMA bets are moneylines, total rounds, and winning method.

A moneyline bet is similar to moneyline bets in football or basketball. You are picking the winner of the fight. For example, Adesanya is -500 on the moneyline and Cannonier is +380. A $100 bet on Cannonier would return $380 if he wins the fight outright.

Players can also bet on how many rounds a fight will last. These are typically over/under wagers.

Fighters can win fights in several different ways, through technical knockout, knockout, submission, or by decision. Sportsbooks allow bettors to wager on how the fight will be won without worrying about who will win.

Books across the world will be flooded this Saturday night as the UFC returns to T-Mobile Arena for a flagship event.
