UEFA EURO 2020 Group F Bound to Give us the Winner!

The title of the EURO will come from the Group of Death. In this year’s group of death we have France, Portugal, Germany and Hungary. That is three world powerhouses right there in France, Portugal, and Germany. Yep, UEFA EURO 2020 Group F ought to give us the winner!

With these three countries, they have won the last three major competitions with Germany winning the 2014 world cup, Portugal winning the Euros in 2016 and France winning the World Cup in 2018.

France

The Favorites. France has been the best national team in the world since they won the World Cup in 2018 which they were also the favorites for. Since then their players such as Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema, N’golo Kante and many others have improved their games immensely and have won many trophies at the club level.

The inclusion of Karim Benzema in the squad was a little shocking because of him not being on the team in years because of a huge scandal. But, Karim Benzema has been one of the best players for Real Madrid and in the world this season and has shown fans why he should be a potential threat for the Ballon d’or.

Kylian Mbappe, still somehow only 22-years-old, has been France’s best player and one of the best players in the world. The Paris Saint Germain striker has scored 91 goals in 107 matches for the French side and has scored 16 for france in 42 appearances. He and Benzema will be major reasons why France should win this tournament.

Germany

When you see Germany, you expect them to always be the favorites of the group but it’s shocking to know that they are not. The 2014 World Cup Winners, still coached by Joachim Low, will have his players ready to play their hearts out not just for their country but for their coach because of it being his last tournament as the head coach.

Players like Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, Joshua Kimmich, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz will all be major players throughout the tournament. All these players mentioned have won the Champions League in the last two seasons, the first 3 mentioned for Bayern Munich in 2020 and the latter 2 mentioned for Chelsea in 2021.

Having the leadership of Manuel Neuer will be super important for this young generation of German players. With great young talent in Kimmich, Havertz, Sane and many more, Neuer will be a great leader in the net and will need to help his team get out of the group and to the final of the tournament.

Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo is 36-years-old and this may be his last major tournament as an international player. Ronaldo was on the field for less than a half last time Portugal won the tournament and definitely wants to play a bigger role in this tournament’s final. He first needs to get there.

With a great young team around their captain Cristiano Ronaldo, teams should be worried. Players like Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias, Joao Felix and Diogo Jota are all young and have shown amazing quality in big leagues such as the Premier League and LaLiga.

Ruben Dias will be the key player in this team, arguably more key than Cristiano Ronaldo. Dias, the Premier League Player of the Year, was the best defender in the league and the world in my opinion and will be a key player with the talent in Group F and will need to step up his game even more than he did this season.

Hungary

Sadly, Hungary is the team no one is thinking about in this group. They are just the leftover team that everyone feels bad for. Last Euros they were surprisingly good and finished in first in their group, so maybe they can shock the world again. But me and the whole world do not expect that.

Bets

Bet on all 3 of these teams to win the tournament if you have the funds. They are 3 of the 4 best European teams in the world, with Belgium being the other one, which they are very lacking in the fullback department. France is obviously the favorite, but Portugal and Germany are both insane teams and wouldn’t be shocked if they win.

With three teams being able to get out of groups we should hopefully see all three of them out of this group, but that depends on the total points of all 3rd place finishers.
