Lutz's Locks For College Football Week 5

Four NFL Teams That Will Cover In Week 3

Why These 4 Teams Will Cover in Week 3

As Week 3 of the NFL seasons takes off, here are 4 teams that will hit the spread. Sit back and enjoy the football!

Packers -1

As the Packers gear up for their inaugural home game at Lambeau this season in week 3, I anticipate an explosive start against the Saints. Jordan Love has exceeded all expectations and appears to be the ideal fit for LaFleur’s system. On the flip side, the Saints don’t seem to hold much allure.

Derek Carr’s presence in New Orleans doesn’t quite click, and I’m inclined to believe their team is somewhat overrated, especially with the absence of Alvin Kamara. Following their setback against Atlanta last week, I’m confident the Packers will make a strong comeback, commencing the season at an impressive 3-0 against the spread.

Titans +3.5

Although neither team has dazzled by any measure, I’m putting my faith in Tennessee for this week 3 matchup. The fact that they’re receiving more than a field goal is pivotal, given that both teams rely heavily on their defensive prowess.

In what’s likely to be a low-scoring, tightly contested game, my bet is on the better coach in Vrabel over Stefanski.

Texans +7.5

In a somewhat unpopular pick of the weekend, I’m backing the Houston Texans and their rookie quarterback on the road. Despite 70% of the betting action favoring Jacksonville, I’m of the opinion that Houston is overrated as a whole.

Stroud has proven himself to be a reliable presence, and the defense has outperformed expectations. While Jacksonville is eager to rebound from their loss to Kansas City last week, laying 7 points in a divisional rivalry like this feels like too much.

Raiders -2

I’m a staunch believer in Jimmy Garoppolo and the Raiders this year, even more so than most. McDaniels and Jimmy G are operating in perfect harmony, and the offensive weapons at their disposal rank among the league’s best.

Although Pittsburgh boasts a formidable defense, Kenny Pickett and the offense have been struggling. I anticipate Garoppolo taking care of the ball and maintaining a lead for the majority of the game, ultimately securing a resounding home win for the Raiders in week 3 on Sunday Night Football.
