The Big Ten West Division has been extremely competitive this season, and the title race is still wide open. The Nebraska Cornhuskers and Purdue Boilermakers meet up on Saturday in a game that will shake up the standings.
Nebraska comes into this game with a 1-4 record in Big Ten action and they are just 3-5 overall. The Cornhuskers were expected to be better this season, but they continue to struggle in close games.
Purdue is 4-3 overall, and 2-2 so far in conference play to remain in the title conversation. The Boilermakers have the biggest win of the year in the league, a 24-7 win over then number two-ranked Iowa.

This has all the makings of a game that will go back-and-forth and it could come down to the fourth quarter. Playing at home will give the Cornhuskers a pretty sizeable advantage, but they haven’t been able to put teams away.
The best bet to make on Saturday afternoon is to take the 7.5 points and bet on Purdue to keep things close against Nebraska.

The rushing attack of Nebraska is hard to ignore, and they are tough to beat when quarterback Adrian Martinez is playing well. Purdue’s win over Iowa was extremely impressive, but then they were pretty bad a week ago.

24 points might be enough to win this game, and that means that the total is going to be less than 50. This feels like a pretty safe play in betting under 53.5 total points.
