Michigan State vs Nebraska Cornhuskers Prediction: Spread

The Spartans feature one of the more balanced attacks in all of college football with 791 rushing yards and 769 passing yards. This team excels at finding ways to move the ball and have been able to run well and efficiently through their first three games.

Nebraska is playing better overall but sits at 2-2 on the season. The Huskers are coming off a hard-fought loss to the Oklahoma Sooners 23-16. This would be the kind of win the Huskers need after losing some close ones but the balanced attack the Spartans offer could prove to be too much.

  • Free Prediction: Michigan State -4.5

Michigan State vs Nebraska Cornhuskers Prediction: Money Line

Looking through the Spartan schedule you don’t see some quality wins in the early going. At the start of the season, the once thought Miami Hurricanes were deemed as back but those signs have been put to bed quickly but with wins over Northwestern and Youngstown, this leaves a lot of question marks for the Spartans.

If you take away the loss the Huskers received against Illinois out of the gate this team has put together a pretty solid start and could easily be sitting at 3-1. This team had a chance against the Sooners but ultimately fell short as stated earlier this will be a game they won’t let slip away.

  • Free Prediction: -215

Michigan State vs Nebraska Cornhuskers Prediction: Total

The Spartan offense has been much better than expected in the early going and the defense has been rock solid at containing the run. The Huskers feature a very talented dual-threat quarterback in Adrian Martinez.

Martinez has been throwing the ball very well and he leads his team in rushing. The Spartans will take their chance allowing Martinez to try and beat them through the air but containing his legs and his big-play potential will be the main focus.

The Huskers will hang around and keep this game close and competitive through four quarters. While this will be a back and forth high scoring affair the Spartans will make enough plays in the 4th quarter to come away with a win. The Cornhuskers will come up short in consecutive games and won’t be able to gain momentum late in this game.

  • Free Prediction: over 51.5

Betting Props:

Kenneth Walker III is as explosive as any tailback in the country. This season he already has a game of 264 yards. Good news for Walker is the Nebraska rushing defense has been torn up several times this season. The Huskers rank 138th in the country and will have to find a way from allowing the back a big day. I expect over 100 yards and 2 touchdowns.
