MLB Division Winner Odds
Three months into the 2022 MLB season, roughly 67 games have been played per team. Of course, as is the case in every season, some divisions are close and some not so much.
In this article, we will look at the latest MLB division winner odds and the current betting favorites for each of them.
AL East: New York Yankees
The Yankees are miles ahead of not just their division but most of the league as well. Their odds to win the division currently sit at -1250 and their record is currently 51-18.
The Yankees have the best record in the league by six games; the closest team is the other New York team, the Mets, with 45 wins. The Bronx Bombers have already hit over 100 home runs and have mighty hitters such as Aaron Judge and Anthony Rizzo leading the charge.
The 39-30 Toronto Blue Jays are in second place with odds of +1000 to win the division according to DraftKings. Unless the Yankees royally choke, they won’t be giving up the division lead anytime soon.
AL Central: Minnesota Twins
From the most lopsided division race to the closest. The Twins are currently battling with the Cleveland Guardians for the division lead. However, the Twins still have better odds to win the division.
The Twins are 39-32 and the Guardians are 36-29, placing them in a tie for first place. Yet Minnesota’s odds currently sit at +145 with Cleveland neck-and-neck at +160 according to FanDuel.
The reason the Twins are the favorites on this list is two-fold. First, they have three more wins than the surging Guardians. But more importantly, they’ve led the division for the majority of the season.
AL West: Houston Astros
The Astros have the second-best record in the American League at 43-25. Meanwhile, the rest of their division is below 500, with the second-place Texas Rangers at 33-35.
Houston’s odds are a whopping -3500 according to DraftKings and the rest of the division’s odds are all into plus territory. Some might say the Astros have a better chance at winning their division than the Yankees do solely because of the lack of competition in the AL West.

NL East: New York Mets
Despite the injuries that have plagued the Mets this season, they are still the best team in the National League at 45-26. Their odds to win the division are -250 according to BetMGM.
However, the Mets face stiffer competition than the Yankees and Astros. The Atlanta Braves have been coming on strong as of late. At the beginning of June, the Braves were 12 games back in their division. As of June 23, they are only four games back at 41-30.
Let’s also not forget the fact that the Braves are the defending World Series champions. However, the Mets are in this spot because they are still finding a way to win in spite of the injuries they have. Pete Alonso is an MVP candidate, as is Francisco Lindor.
NL Central: Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers may be in second place right now behind the St. Louis Cardinals, but they still have the best odds to win the division at -180. They’re just one game back in the NL Central but still have great odds to win their division.
Milwaukee’s odds can be attributed to great players like Corbin Burnes and Christian Yelich. The Cardinals may be in the driver’s seat for now, but that won’t be for long if the Brewers can help it.
NL West: Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers are only a half-game ahead in their division. They sit in front of the San Diego Padres, who are really giving LA a run for its money right now.
The Dodgers still have a great pitching staff while their outfield tandem of Cody Bellinger and Mookie Betts is still strong. Los Angeles’ odds are currently -200 according to FanDuel, compared to +240 for the Padres.
Barring any major changes, the Dodgers have a good chance to hold onto this lead.
