Hurricanes vs Predators Game 6 Betting Preview

Hurricanes vs Predators Game 6 Betting Preview

The Hurricanes vs Predators series, a match-up between the one and four seed in the Central Division, has been everything we could have wanted and more. With multiple overtime games, one of them even going to double OT, some incredible saves, and some underrated stars getting their chance to shine. The Carolina Hurricanes lead the series 3-2 heading into tonight’s Game 6 matchup, so it’s win or go home for Nashville and the Predators. The Hurricanes are being led by their veteran forward Jordan Staal who has four goals and one helper in this series leading his team with five points.

The biggest surprise for the Predators has been the play of young goaltender Jusse Saros, who has posted a 2-3 record with a 2.6 goals-against average and has two 50+ save performances in this series. The Predators have not been led by Filip Forsberg in this series as it has been both Ryan Johansen and Ryan Ellis, Johansen leads the team in goals with two and Ellis leads the team in points with four.

Carolina Hurricanes betting preview

The NHL‘s regular-season point leader of the Central Division with 80 is getting all they can handle in their first series with the team that finished fourth with only 64 points. Andrei Svechnikov hasn’t really gotten going yet and that needs to change if they want to make a deep Cup run. Andrei only has three points in five games going into game six of the series. An unlikely hero has emerged for the Canes with defenseman Brett Pesce who has led the team in Time on ice in every game in this series playing 25+ minutes on the ice and leading his team in assists with three.

The Hurricanes have covered a -1.5 goal spread in two of the five games in this series and it was only in the first two games of the series. Since then the Predators have covered or won outright in the last three games bringing their season total record to 8-4 against the Predators and also bringing their total cover record to 6-6. The Hurricanes are one win away from moving on and I expect them to get it done tonight and move on to face the winner of the Tampa Bay and Florida series.

Nashville Predators betting preview

The Predators surprisingly stayed in this series after quickly going down 2-0 they went back home and took two games right back to even the series at 2 apiece then dropped game five 3-2 in overtime. Veteran Forward Matt Duchene netted one of the overtime winners for his lone goal of the NHL playoffs and if they want to have any chance of winning this game six and forcing game seven they need him and Forsberg to step up and be the spark plugs they have been all season.

These teams are very familiar with each other as they’ve played each other over a dozen times this season including this series. With Jusse Saros playing 9/12 games against them this season he is very familiar but also very drained with this Covid-friendly schedule of playing the same teams all season long. Saros should be in net again tonight, lets see if he can force game seven or if he and his teammates will be going home early.
