CLIPPERS VS JAZZ GAME 4 MATCHUP AND BETTING PICK
Game 5 of the NBA Western Conference Semifinals match-up between the Clippers vs Jazz is on Wednesday at 10pm EST at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City. After a great performance on Monday night, the Los Angeles Clippers have come back from being down 0-2, and the series is now tied. They will travel to Utah for Game 5, the most pivotal game in this series. Neither team wants to play all the way to Game 7, so both of them will certainly bring their A-game on Wednesday evening.
PROJECTED STARTERS
LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS: Kawhi Leonard, Marcus Morris Sr., Nicolas Batum, Paul George, Reggie Jackson
UTAH JAZZ: Bojan Bogdanovic, Royce O’Neale, Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles, Donovan Mitchell
LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS: CAN THEY MAINTAIN MOMENTUM?
The Clippers have been on a roll these past few games. Game 4 was a massive win for them, with their offense and defense both performing beautifully. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both scored over 30 points in this game. They also played their best defensive game of the series, successfully stopping Donovan Mitchell early on in the game to make things difficult on Utah’s offense. In this game, the Clippers need to maintain their momentum, continue to put points on the board and slow down the Jazz’s defense.

Despite a strong start to the series, the Utah Jazz have been stumbling these past few games against the Clippers. On Monday night, the Jazz only shot 14-of-40 in the first half, with the Clippers doing a phenomenal job with defending Donovan Mitchell. However, if they put up a great performance in Game 5, they still have a chance to win. The biggest challenge for the Jazz on Wednesday will be to overcome their scoring and offensive problems as of late.
They also need more offense from this year’s NBA Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert to help Utah with its interior offense.
MATCHUP AND BETTING PICK
Game 5 of any NBA Playoffs series is absolutely pivotal. This series has definitely been one full of unexpected twists, turns, and surprises. Despite the wonderful performance that the Jazz have put up this series, I think that the Clippers will take this game. This team has been on a roll these past few games, scoring points, slowing down the Jazz’s offense and Donovan Mitchell, and making big plays happen.
That being said, the Jazz will certainly not go down without a fight, so the Clippers have their work cut out for them. It will be an entertaining and close game, but I think that ultimately, the Clippers take this one.
