There are some exciting games for you to place your bets on the July 21st MLB slate. Until the games begin, read more about the MLB.
July 21st MLB Game: The New York Yankees vs The Houston Astros
The first game back coming off the All-Star break should be an exciting one as two of the top teams in the league go face to face. The Yankees are traveling to play this one in Minute Maid Park in Houston at 1:10 PM Eastern Time.
The Yankees are currently sitting at the top of Major League Baseball with a record of 64 wins and 28 losses with a +199 run differential. The Astros are right behind them as they are currently third overall in the league with a record of 59 wins and 32 losses as well as a run differential of +98. The Astros are only 4.5 games back from taking over as the top team in the MLB.
The New York Yankees are coming off hot as they went into the All-Star break beating their rivals, the Boston Redsox, by double digits in the 2 last games they played each other.
The line for this game is open at Yankees +105 and Astros -125. The Yankees have not decided who they are pitching just yet, but their bullpen in and out has been reliable all season. It should not affect the line that much when they decide who they are going to pitch.
The Astros are pitching Christian Javiar who is 6-5 in his first 11 starts. The pitcher has an ERA of 3.22, 112 strikeouts, and a WHIP of 1.05.
Although this is a very solid pitcher and the Yankees pitcher is undecided, my pick is the Yankees as underdogs at +105. After coming off two games scoring double-digit runs I just do not see the Astros putting a stop to the best offense in Baseball. I expect this game on the July 21st MLB slate to be a high-scoring one and close, but the Yankees will get the win.
The Texas Rangers vs The Miami Marlins
The Texas Rangers take on the Miami Marlins in Miami at loanDepot Park. The Rangers and Marlins are pretty close in records. The Marlins currently sit at 43 wins and 48 losses putting them at 4th place in the NL East. The Rangers currently sit third in the
AL West with 41 wins and 49 losses.
The line is opened at Rangers +105 Moneyline and Marlins -125 Moneyline. The Rangers are pitching Jon Gray who is 6-4 in his first 10 starts. He has an ERA of 3.71, 100 strikeouts, and a WHIP of 1.13.
The Marlins are pitching Pablo Lopez who has been great this season winning 6 of his first 10 starts. Lopez has an ERA of 2.86, 101 strikeouts, and a WHIP of 1.07.
My pick for this game is Marlins -125 Moneyline. The reasoning for this pick is because the Marlins are coming off a 3 game-losing skid and are due for a win especially when one of their top pitchers is pitching. Not to mention at home Pablo Lopez has won 3 of his first four starts and has an ERA of .235.
