MLB Upcoming Game Odds: July 14
As we enter mid-July in the MLB everyone has got the All Star game on their kind and with it fast approaching any teams are scrambling to capture a win before the break.
In this article we will look at four upcoming games and the odds as well as the team’s records.
Cincinnati Reds vs New York Yankees
Last night the Yankees ended a three game skid last night after defeating the Reds 7-6. The Yankees have yet to lose four games in a row this season and still have the best record in the league at 62-26. The Reds are still a long way from contention this season but they’ve managed to go 6-4 in their last 10 and beat the Yankees, not too bad for a bottom feeding team.
With the series tied at 1-1 both teams are eager to get a win to win the series. The Yankees are favored in this game at -205 according to BetMGM. However the Reds aren’t too far behind at +175.
The projected starting pitchers are RHP Luis Castillo for the Reds and LHP Nestor Cortes for the Yankees.
Atlanta Braves vs Washington Nationals
An in division clash of two NL East teams. The red hot Braves who have the best record in the league since June 1st face the last place Nationals in Washington. The defending World Series champion Braves boast heavy hitters like Dansby Swanson and Ronald Acuna Jr. however the Nationals do have one thing going for them, Juan Soto.
The Braves are -225 favorites while the Nationals are +180 underdogs. The two projected pitchers for the two teams are Kyle Wright for the Braves and Anibal Sanchez for the Nationals. As previously mentioned the Braves have made a very strong push since the start of June.
The Braves have gone 30-10 since June 1 and are currently holding onto the first wild card spot. The Nationals have been awful in their last 10, going 1-9.
Boston Red Sox vs Tampa Bay Rays
Yet another in division showdown, this time between two AL East foe’s. The Rays currently sit in second place in the AL East at 48-40, the Red Sox are one game behind them in third place with a record of 47-42.
This is game four of this series and the Rays have won all three games so far. The Red Sox are desperately trying to cling on to the second AL wild card spot with the Mariners nipping at their heels with the same record.
Despite being up 3-0 in the series the Rays are underdogs in this game at +165. The Red Sox are favored at -200. The starting pitchers for the teams are Kutter Crawford for the Red Sox and Drew Rasmussen for the Rays.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs St. Louis Cardinals
The last game of a St. Louis series sees the LA Dodgers take on the hometown Cardinals. The series is tied at 1-1. In game two of the series the Dodgers came back from a 6-0 deficit to defeat the Cardinals 7-6 after losing 7-6 in game one of the series.
The Dodgers are favored to win the road series at -165 while the Cardinals are -135 underdogs. The starting pitchers are Tyler Anderson for the Dodgers and Dakota Hudson for the Cardinals.
