G2E Conference Returning to Las Vegas in October 2021

G2E Conference Returning to Las Vegas in October 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic derailed many in-person networking events throughout the world. However, the United States is beginning to return to normalcy, and that means conferences are back. The gaming industry’s leading trade event, Global Gaming Expo (G2E), will return to Las Vegas in 2021.

Details of the G2E Conference

Along with Reed Exhibitions, the American Gaming Association made a formal announcement that the G2E Conference will occur in 2021. This news had the American gaming industry buzzing because this event was desperately missed in 2020.

The in-person event, which will also feature additional virtual aspects, will take place in Las Vegas from October 4-7. The Expo Hall inside the Sands Casino will begin on the fifth and conclude at the end of the G2E Conference.

Safety is a Primary Concern

The United States is returning to normalcy which has caused the landlocked gaming industry to be revitalized in Las Vegas. This has been thanks to casinos taking extra measures to keep gamers safe. The G2E Conference committee will take the same approach to ensure that the event runs smoothly.

G2E staff will coordinate with the Sands Expo & Convention Center, federal, state, and local regulators to implement safety protocols.

G2E Event Director Korbi Carrison will be heading the safety effort for the conference. In the event press release, he was quoted regarding the company’s excitement for the event.

“For over 20 years, G2E has been the leader in uniting the global gaming community, and we are beyond thrilled to come together this October for the industry’s hallmark event.”

G2E announced the event on Monday, which coincided with Clark County, Nevada, lifting all capacity limitations. Las Vegas is located in Clark County, and the restrictions being lifted will help the surging gaming industry continue to rebound.

The American gaming industry’s Q1 numbers tied for the highest-grossing quarter of all time at $11 billion. The lack of gaming availability in 2020 has caused an insatiable appetite for it in 2021, helping providers recover from the down year.

American Gaming Association VP of Global Events Meredith Pallante was also quoted in the G2E Conference press release.

“We can’t wait to bring the industry back together in Las Vegas for G2E 2021. The industry has shown tremendous resilience throughout the pandemic and being able to gather together again will be another great milestone in our strong recovery.”

Consumers Cemented an In-Person G2E Conference in 2021

G2E Show Management researched to determine if people wanted an in-person conference in 2021. The results were nearly unanimous for a live event, which shows how excited people are to return to normalcy.

Eight out of ten people said they wanted an in-person G2E on a questionnaire from the management team. Additionally, 93% of people said they had a moderate or strong desire for a non-virtual conference in Las Vegas.

With Clark County lifting capacity restrictions and the questionnaire results, it was an easy decision for G2E to return in 2021.
