BetMGM Launches Second Mississippi Mobile Betting Service at Beau Rivage Casino
Mississippi sports bettors finally have more than one location at which they can place mobile bets! It’s about time.
BetMGM, a sports betting and digital gaming operator, just launched their mobile app on Wednesday morning at MGM Resorts International’s Beau Rivage in Biloxi, joining BetMGM’s other Mississippi betting location: Gold Strike Casino in Tunica.
Travis Lynn, the President and COO of MGM Southeast, expressed his enthusiasm for this new mobile sports app launch.
“Beau Rivage is proud to be the first Coastal Mississippi casino resort to offer mobile sports betting for customers,” he said, “The BetMGM app not only offers in-game bets and expanded promotions, players can earn M life Rewards for playing.”
Adam Greenblatt, the CEO of BetMGM, also seemed excited about the launch. “We are thrilled at BetMGM to expand our business in Mississippi to now offer our mobile app at Beau Rivage,” he said, “Beau Rivage is one of the great entertainment destinations of the region and a perfect place to bring our platform to new customers as we continue to expand throughout the South.”
The official launch of BetMGM at the Beau Rivage will allow sports bettors to place any kind of wager they desire, as long as they are on-site at the casino in Biloxi.
Even though the BetMGM mobile app is available to download all across the state, bettors are only able to place bets if they are physically at one of the two casinos, thanks to a state-of-the-art geolocation technology.
This will probably be a little bit of a pain for active bettors, but we’ll see if any complaints get sent BetMGM’s way.
According to Gambling.com, this integration with MGM Resorts’ M Life Rewards program allows BetMGM users and sports bettors in Mississippi the opportunity to redeem their gameplay for experiences at MGM Resorts properties across the country, including exclusive promotions and discounts.
These benefits are available at multiple locations, including the Mississippi-based casinos previously mentioned, the Bellagio and MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Borgata Hotel, Casino, and Spa in New Jersey, and the MGM National Harbor in Maryland.
Beau Rivage Sportsbook Manager Carl Johnson said that he is very excited to finally provide the Mississippi sports betting audience with mobile sports betting.
“This has been something that the guests have wanted for a long time,” he said, “The state of Mississippi has wanted it for a long time and we finally got it here.”
MGM Resorts Southeast Group Vice President and Legal Counsel Anthony Delvescovo talked a little bit about appealing to a wider audience through this launch.
“As the technology continues to improve we have to keep up with it and we know the younger generations desire more in their hand opportunities,” he said, “They are more spontaneous, they want to have statistics and have the ability to bet.
They don’t want to stand in lines, that is what they are used to and it is what we want to give them.
It’s great that Mississippi sport bettors now have a mobile sports betting option, even if they have to physical be at one of the two official BetMGM-partnered casinos.
