Weekend Carryovers June 19, 2021
We’ve got some six-figure carryovers headed into the weekend, so let’s get right down to business!
Santa Anita Park — Rainbow Pick 6 pool up to $2,000,000 Mandatory Payout
The current pool is $140,499 with a mandatory payout on closing day, June 20. The Rainbow Pick 6 pool is estimated to approach $2,000,000. This pool estimation is only valid if the Single Ticket Jackpot pool carries over from Saturday, June 19.
The player must select the winners of 6 consecutive designated races. Usually, the last 6 races of the card. To win the Single Ticket Jackpot, the player must hold the only unique ticket to select the winners of the 6 consecutive designated races.
If no single player hits the Rainbow Pick 6, that designated portion of the pool rolls over to the Rainbow Pick 6 Jackpot Pool.
Pimlico Racecourse — Record Carryover $1.09 Million
The 20-cent Rainbow 6 has a Maryland state record jackpot carryover of $1,093,866.44. The Rainbow 6 jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners.
On days when there is no unique ticket, 60 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 40 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
Friday’s Rainbow 6 begins in Race 3 (1:37 p.m.), a starter-optional claimer for 3-year-olds and up scheduled for 1 1/16 miles on the grass which attracted an overflow field of 15 including 2019 Maryland Million Turf winner Mr. d’Angelo.
Gulfstream Park — Pick 6 Jackpot $318,483
The Rainbow Pick 6 requires the selection of the winner in each of six races. The entire net Rainbow 6 pool and carryover will be paid out to the winner of a unique (single) wager.
If no one selected the first-place finisher in all six races, the major share of the Rainbow 6 pool will be distributed as a single prize pool to those who picked the first-place finisher in the greatest number of races. The monoi share will be added to or create the jackpot pool.
Prairie Meadows — Pick 5 Jackpot $153,991
The Jackpot Pick 5 has a 15% takeout. The betting format minimum is $0.50 Straight pick or $0.50 Wheels.
Woodbine — Super High Five Jackpot $145,395
The rules of the Jackpot Hi-5 are that the bettor must select the top 5 finishers in a race in the correct order. The Jackpot will pay out when only one single winning ticket exists.
If multiple winning tickets exist, 50% of the guaranteed jackpot will be paid as a consolation, and the remainder will be added into the carryover guarantee. If no winners exist, the full guarantee will be added to the carryover for the next available guarantee. The carryover will continue to grow until a single ticket wins.
Churchill Downs — Pick 6 Jackpot $129,948
The Pick-6 requires the selection of the first-place finisher in each of six specified races. Each person placing a Pick-6 wager shall designate the winning horse in each of six races comprising the Pick-6. The entire net Pick-6 pool and the Unique Carryover, if any, shall be distributed only if there is a single wager placed for the required bet minimum that selected the first-place finisher in each of the Pick-6 contests, based upon the official order of finish.
If there is no single winning wager, the net Pick-6 pool for that day shall be distributed as a single price pool, and the remaining percentage (jackpot share) of the net Pick-6 pool shall be added to the Unique Carryover.
