Dallas Wings vs Seattle Storm Prediction & Pick
Dallas Wings vs Seattle Storm Prediction & Pick – The Dallas Wings will fly up north and take on the Seattle Storm for a back-to-back this weekend.
Wings
Dallas (2-4) won their season opener over the Los Angeles Sparks, but they had a rocky finish to the month of May, as they dropped their last four games.
Reigning WNBA scoring champion Arike Ogunbowale is off to a fantastic start this season. She’s averaging 19.1 points per game, only slightly below her overall average of 20.7 points per game in her WNBA career. With only 2.4 rebounds per game, Ogunbowale is below Marina Mabrey, who is pushing 6.3 rebounds per game. However, they are averaging around the same points per game, as Mabrey has been averaging 19.3 points. Mabrey has grown to be one to watch, as she has already surpassed last year’s per game average, and adding almost 10 points extra.
Both Ogunbowale and Mabrey have scored 24 points or more three times over their last five games, so we may just be in for a shootout. Kayla Thornton has been having an impressive season this year, averaging 12.5 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game. Tyasha Harris is pushing 9.7 points per game and sticking to her career average of around 1.8 rebounds per game. With the Wings missing Allisha Gray
Getting ice cream w that hard shell cock, who puts up an average of 23 points per game, the Storm may just be able to walk off the court with a win.
Storm
Seattle (6-1) split their season opening series with the Las Vegas Aces and they haven’t looked back. The Storm finished the month of May with four consecutive victories, appearing to be in mid-season form early. 2x WNBA Finals MVP Breanna Stewart has been stellar so far, averaging a career high 23.3 points per game, along with a career best 9.7 rebounds per game.
Sue Bird and Jewell Lloyd make up one of the best backcourts in the league. Bird, one of the most accomplished players of all time, continues to be the heartbeat of the Seattle Storm, and she’s averaging 11.7 ppg and 6.1 apg. Loyd, like Stewart, is averaging career highs across the board with 19.4 ppg, 4.8 rpg, and 4.4 apg. She’s scored 22 or more three times this season, and flirted with a pair of triple-doubles.
Players to Watch
Sue Bird
It’s no surprise that Sue Bird is one of Seattle’s players to watch, as this is her 18th season with the Storm. The 11 time All Star player has continued to dominate the WNBA, giving Seattle even more reason to turn up the heat on Dallas and come out with a win.
Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale’s scoring ability will give Dallas a chance to pull off this upset. Seattle is one of tougher teams in the league defensively, but the Wings managed to score 97 points in the first game, and Ogunbowale’s 28 points led the charge.
Dallas Wings vs Seattle Storm Prediction & Pick
It may not be as easy as it seems for the Storm this weekend. Although Dallas dropped four straight games to end May, three of those losses were by six points or less, including a three-point nailbiter to Seattle themselves. It’s very hard to beat a team twice, let alone three straight times, so look for this one to be competitive.
The Storm should take care of business, but it could be a shootout, as the first encounter produced 197 points. Bet on Seattle to win, and take the over.
