The Cardinals Will Win the Super Bowl

Looking at the odds, there is one team that is severely undervalued in the sportsbooks to win the Super Bowl this February and that team is a franchise that missed the postseason entirely last season: the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals are currently 2-0 and are listed as +2500 in most sportsbooks where you can bet on futures at the moment. Arizona is doing extremely well and I’m going to give you three reasons why they should be bet a decent amount so you can make a lot of money at the end of the season.

Having the NFL MVP Helps

The Arizona Cardinals offense has been electric and is helped with a franchise star in quarterback Kyler Murray. So far this season< he is 50-of-68 (73.5 completion percentage) for seven touchdowns and three interceptions. He also has a great QBR, which is currently at 71.0 this year. Murray has been doing well rushing as well as he has 10 carries for 51 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns as well. He is facing good defensive teams in Tennessee and Minnesota this season so he has taken that next step.

It definitely helps when you have a solid offensive core with running back Chase Edmonds as well as having wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins, AJ Green, and Rondale Moore out wide to be factors where the opposing defense struggles to defend them with a solid game plan.

Defensive Wizard

Through the first two weeks against solid rushing teams, outside linebacker Chandler Jones has been doing extremely well at getting to the quarterback, instead of guessing who has the football. He is the current leader with 5.0 sacks on the year and has been doing wonders. With an offense like what Arizona has, the defense doesn’t need to be elite.

They also have added guys with high motors like veteran JJ Watt on the defensive line and rookie interior linebacker Zaven Collins. Arizona has been forcing teams to punt and getting the offense solid field position so they are forcing teams to make boneheaded mistakes with the football.

Their Schedule Helps Them in the Postseason

The Arizona Cardinals are in arguably the toughest division in the NFC West with the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks. They already faced tough franchises and have like the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys as well to help them play up to their competition. The Cards can easily win the NFC West with their talented roster and now adding kicker Matt Prater to help the kicking game means they have very little weaknesses.

Conclusion

The Arizona Cardinals do not have an easy schedule but missing the playoffs entirely last season is a huge motivating factor for them to advance. It feels like head coach Kliff Kingsbury has finally taken that next step and Kyler Murray will take that next step.

The AFC can knock each other out in the postseason and I think Arizona matches up pretty well against any team in the NFL. Get your money’s worth betting on the Arizona Cardinals to hoist the Lombardi Trophy after Super Bowl 56.
