Aaron Rodgers: Where To Next?

Aaron Rodgers: Where To Next?

Green Bay is reportedly “done” with Aaron Rodgers. The franchise will be looking to move past the Rodgers era this upcoming season. Rodgers has a multitude of suitors; read on for an analysis of a few and a quick look at how the Packers will look next season.

New York

The New York Jets are seen as a serious suitor for Aaron Rodgers. The Jets have been held back by their quarterback play for a few decades, and Rodgers could be a temporary bandage at the position.

The Jet’s defense ranked among the NFL’s best last year, and the team is looking to insert a quarterback that can help the team solidify for a playoff spot compared than competing for one.

For the Jets to have been in contention through the final few weeks of this year’s NFL season with some of the worst quarterback play shows how talented and deep the team is. Ultimately, I think the New York media scene is not something Rodgers actively seeks to be a part of.

Las Vegas

I believe Las Vegas is the most likely landing spot for Aaron Rodgers. First and foremost, the Raiders would offer Rodgers the opportunity to reunite with close friend and superstar wide receiver Davante Adams.

Adams, who is now 30 years old, is still operating at an all-star level, racking up 100 receptions on 180 total targets and gaining 1516 yards with 14 touchdowns over a full 17 games played. Adams is still in top form; it’s something Rodgers should consider.

The Raiders offer Rodgers another fantastic weapon in the leading rusher from the 2022 NFL season, Josh Jacobs. Jacobs rushed for 1653 yards and 12 touchdowns on 340 attempts in 2022, and he will be looking to follow up his breakout campaign this season.

The offensive combo that the Raiders offer is sure to make any quarterback better, and it might even be somewhat of a relief for an aging Rodgers to feel like he doesn’t have to carry the entire team on his back for once.

The organization has had front-office issues for years, but it’s nothing Rodgers hasn’t dealt with before in Green Bay. The Raiders had apparently been in a perfect position to land Tom Brady when he hit free agency in the 2020 offseason This time. However, head coach Jon Gruden is not present to blow the entire idea up at the last second.

Green Bay

With Rodgers unlikely to stay in Green Bay, the team is looking to see what they have in Jordan Love. Love showed progress in his ability to operate the Packer’s offense when he was given the opportunity this year.

In his most expanded gameplay, Love completed 6 of 9 passes for 113 yards, 1 touchdown, and a superb quarterback rating of 146.8. Love has shown he is worthy of an opportunity to start in the NFL, and it seems the Packers are giving it to him this season.
