Michigan vs Washington Prediction:

The Michigan Wolverines came out the gates as good as anyone in the country to start their 2021 season by beating Western Michigan 47-14. On the other side, Washington, who was a team that is expected to compete for the Pac-12 title, was handed an ugly loss to Montana 13-7 in their opener. The one loss doesn’t affect their conference standings, but this is one they have to move on from quickly to get back on track.

This game should be very competitive based on the spread through 4 quarters. Both of these teams feature extremely talented rosters and very good quarterbacks, as well as quality coaches.

Michigan vs Washington Prediction: Moneyline

Despite the Wolverines being favored, it’s hard to pick against the Washington Huskies in this contest. Michigan is currently sitting at 11-16 against top 25 teams, and in the Jim Harbough era, they are just 2-12 against the top 10. The loss to Montana should drop the Huskies out of the top 25 poll, but there is no denying this team is very talented, and many had them marked as a top 10 team at one point and a potential college football playoff team in January.

Free Prediction: Michigan -110, Washington +100

This could be the year Michigan will push Ohio State for the Big Ten, while Washington will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing loss to Montana.

Michigan vs Washington Prediction: Totals

Michigan is led by quarterback Cade McNamara who was brilliant in his limited reps against Western Michigan. McNamara was 9/11 with 136 yards and 2 touchdowns before being pulled due to the game getting out of hand. The Wolverines were great in the run game, rushing for 335 yards and scoring three times. This is an explosive offense that can put points on the board in a hurry.

Washington quarterback Dylan Morris had a rough day throwing three interceptions and no touchdowns in a losing effort. He finished the game 27/46 for 226 yards through the air. This is still a great football team and has a very talented defense. Things didn’t go as planned in week 1, and that can happen. Expect a more focused and ready-to-go Huskie squad in this contest.

Prop Predictions

Washington features former Wolverine wide receiver Giles Jackson. Jackson, a transfer, is returning to the Big House for the first time since last season. He had a lackluster sophomore campaign and was forced out on the depth chart so expect him to be a major factor in this game.

Harbaugh has little luck against quality opponents, as shown by his 11-16 record and 2-12 against top 10 teams.
Washington is one of the tougher teams Michigan will face this season, and the outcome could prove to be a fork in the road for how this season will play out for both of these teams, but the Huskies will be hungry to get back in the win column.
