Texas’s Bijan Robinson is going to be a Heisman candidate when it is all said and done. He has already rushed for over 900 yards and 10 touchdowns through Week 8.

But running back Abram Smith of Baylor has been effective as well. Smith might not receive the same amount of attention as Robinson, but he has rushed for 785 yards with 10 touchdowns so far this year.

Factoring in the Longhorn’s struggles in defending the run, there is a chance we see Smith keep up with or even outperform Robinson in this one.

Baylor’s defense should have no issues defending the passing attack of Texas, making the Longhorn’s offense somewhat one-dimensional.

Texas has also blown big leads in their last two games, and their arrow is trending in a downward direction. While I do believe they will remain competitive throughout this game, Baylor’s momentum will carry them to a Week 9 win.

Because of both sides’ strong rushing attacks, the clock is going to be continuously running without many stoppages in this game. That is noteworthy as it could make betting on the under for the total a smart move.

On the other hand, we could see plenty of touchdowns if the teams can keep the chains moving and get red zone opportunities. Still, on the original total, I would take the under.

Just keep in mind there is a possibility that one of these rushing units explodes and defies expectations.
