NBA Finals Game 6 Props Preview
The Milwaukee Bucks are now up 3-2 over the Phoenix Suns in the 2021 NBA Finals after starting off the series in an 0-2 deficit, but getting the Game 5 win was no easy task, as the Suns poured it on early in front of their loud, passionate fans, making it seem like the game was over without the first quarter of play even ending.
Giannis Antetokounmpo closed out the thrilling road victory with an alley-oop slam plus the foul on the fastbreak after Jrue Holiday ripped the ball out of Devin Booker’s hands. Khris Middleton also made timely shots down the stretch to keep the Suns from gaining any momentum to steal the game.
Here are some player props to look out for as the Bucks look to clinch their first championship in 50 years right on their home floor.
Jrue Holiday – over 8.5 assists (+115)
Holiday is averaging 9.0 assists in the Finals, as his series-high 13 of them came in Game 5 in Phoenix. In that Game 5, Holiday found Antetokounmpo and Middleton a healthy amount of times on his assists, but he was also able to involve guys like Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, and Pat Connaughton as well.
Holiday’s primary task has been to keep Chris Paul in check, and with that, his shooting has taken a significant hit. In order for the Bucks to maximize their scoring chances in a potential close-out game, they may have Holiday stick to being more of a facilitator and allow Middleton and Antetokounmpo to take the bulk of the shots.
Being in front of a bunch of passionate Wisconsinites should bring the best out of each and every member of this team, so there’s a great chance Holiday gets at least nine assists.
Khris Middleton – over 25.5 points (-120)
Middleton is another guy who has proven to be an excellent playmaker all postseason long, but in this game, Milwaukee could look to lean on him for his excellent mid-range and 3-point shooting.
Middleton dropped 40 points in Game 4 and followed that up with 29 in Phoenix, so being back in front of his home crowd should have him energized enough to carry the momentum into this one.
He’s also been mentioned in the Finals MVP conversation, and although he probably won’t lose sleep if he loses out on the award to Antetokounmpo, he still may have enough motivation in him to prove that he can be the Batman and not the Robin.
Giannis Antetokounmpo – double-double (-600)
Back in front of his home crowd and playing the best basketball of his life? Antetokounmpo should have no problem recording a double-double, especially when you consider the stakes of this particular game.
He came up just one rebound short of a double-double in Game 5, but in all of the other games, he’s recorded at least 10 boards.
With a ring and Finals MVP on the line, this is a golden moment for Antetokounmpo to make a statement and put on a historic performance. A title and a breakthrough game will make the Greek Freak an iconic NBA player for years.
