Masayoshi Nakatani vs. Vasyl Lomachenko
Masayoshi Nakatani
- Boxing Record: 19-1, 13 KOs
- Best Betting Odds: +1040 (FanDuel)
Vasyl Lomachenko
- Boxing Record: 14-2,10 KOs
- Best Betting Odds: -1200 (BetMGM)
Fight Preview
Vasyl “Hi-Tech” Lomachenko will make his return to the ring against Masayoshi Nakatani after losing three of the four major belts to Teofimo Lopez. Lomachenko started out surprisingly slow in the fight and looked like an ordinary fighter for the first time in his pro career.
Since this fight Lomachenko has undergone shoulder surgery for an injury he claims hampered his performance during the fight. He looks to begin his comeback to the top of the heap of the lightweight division with a win over Nakatani.
Nakatani comes into this fight with a 19-1 record with his only loss coming against Teofimo Lopez via a 12 round unanimous decision. The Japanese fighter does pack a punch, with his last five victories ending by knockout. Nakatani has the height (4.5inches) and reach (5.5 inches) advantage, but Lomachenko has given up both of these attributes in most of his fights with no issues.
Lomachenko beats his opponents by being a perfectionist of the sweet science, with “Hi-Tech” footwork. If Lomachenko is successful, he will be watching the August 19th Teofimo Lopez vs George Kambosos closely, as he seeks revenge.

My Prediction
Lomachenko fixes the issues he had in his last fight and secures a decision victory.
Gervonte Davis vs Mario Barrios
Gervonte Davis
- Boxing Record: 24-0, 23 KOs
- Best Betting Odds: -400 (BetMGM)
Mario Barrios
- Boxing Record: 26-0, 17 KOs
- Best Betting Odds: +380 (5 Dimes)
Fight Preview
Gervonte “Tank” Davis moves up from 130lbs to fight Mario Barrios at 140lbs for the WBA Super lightweight title. Davis has shown he has power at bigger weight classes when he stopped Yuriorkis Gamboa in 2019 at 135lbs. Davis is not known as a volume puncher but instead as a vicious knockout-out artist with a 96% knockout rate.
Mario Barrios is a legit 140lbs fighter, that will be 5 inches taller and have a 3.5-inch reach advantage on fight night. Tank’s motivation for moving up to take this challenge is to hold world championships in three different divisions simultaneously, a feat only accomplished by Henry Armstrong and Canelo Alvarez.
My Prediction
Barrios likes to brawl which could play into Tanks favor, but his size might take a few extra shots to put him down. Tank gets it done in the second half of the fight by Knockout.
My Parlay
- Vasyl Lomachenko by Decision or Technical Decision +110
- Barrios/Davis fight end between Round 5-8 +240
- Parlay Pays +614 (Bet365)
