Which teams to bet on for the June 28th MLB slate

Philadelphia Phillies Vs Atlanta Braves

For the first game, I suggest taking it at 7:05 P.M, when the Atlanta Braves are playing against the Phillies in Philadelphia. The line is set at Braves -105 and the Phillies at -115.

These two MLB teams have both been on hot streaks and are turning their seasons around. The Philadelphia Phillies currently sit at 3rd place in the NL East division, 8 games behind the first-place Mets. The Atlanta Braves are 2nd in the NL East and are 5 games back from first place.

This game makes for a competitive division rivalry affair. The Phillies are pitching their best pitcher in Zach Wheeler. Wheeler has been tremendous this MLB season, the 32-year-old has an ERA of 2.77 through 10 games pitched.

The Braves are pitching Charlie Morton, he is not the strongest pitcher as he has a 4.84 ERA through 7 games. Also giving up 11 home runs, while Wheeler has only given up three.

My pick for this game is the Phillies at -115, strictly due to the pitching ability of Zach Wheeler. I am expecting a close game, but the Phillies will come out on top.

The New York Mets vs Houston Astros

The Astros travel to New York to play the Mets at 7:10 P.M. The Mets and Astros are currently two of the best ball clubs in the MLB as they are both top five in team records. The Mets are second overall in the league with a record of 47-27, while the Astros are 45-27.

The line is set at Astros -115 and the Mets at -105. This is another game that will be neck and neck. The Astros have won the previous 2 games of the series. I believe that the Mets will get revenge in game three and win at Citi Field.

Both teams have winning pitchers playing, the Mets are pitching Carlos Carrasco who despite only having an ERA of 4.42 through 11 games, has managed to have a winning record of 8-3. The Astros are pitching left-hand pitcher, Frambler Valdez, who has pitched a 2.90 ERA through 10 games posting a winning record of 7-3.

Although the Astros have a better pitcher on the mound I still have the Mets winning. Carrasco pitched the last game against the Astros and had very poor performance as he gave up three home runs and had to get pulled from the game. I am expecting Carrasco to have a comeback performance and have a solid game for the Mets at home.

Best Lines

There are still seven other games on this MLB slate, however, these two picks are my favorites. There is a good value found in both of these games with these lines as they are practically even. Both games should be extremely fun to watch as I would not be surprised if they both came down to the last inning.
