PGA Tour Pick ‘Em Live Offers New Way to Live Bet Golf Tournaments

The PGA Tour and NBC Sports are making live betting on golf tournaments more accessible.

A New Free-to-Play Fantasy Game

PGA Tour Pick ‘Em Live” is a free-to-play game featured on the PGA Tour app and website. Created by Low6, an iGaming platform, the game will look to reel in new bettors through live in-play games and exclusive prizes.

Fans 18+ can start playing by following four steps:

Create a free profile.
Make picks before the tournament starts and each round.
Change your picks during the rounds
Watch the leaderboard to follow your selections.

Jamie Mitchell, co-founder and CEO of Low6, said, “We are delighted to be launching this new pick’em game in partnership with NBC Sports, the PGA TOUR and PointsBet.” “This product highlights our position as a world leader in developing innovative digital sports games and we look forward to engaging with the global golf market through PGA TOUR Pick ‘Em Live.”

Competitions are available for overall winner, group winner, and head-to-head matchups. All odds are provided by PointsBet, an official betting partner of the PGA Tour.

“We look forward to working with NBC Sports, PointsBet and Low6 to provide a free-to-play game for PGA TOUR fans,” said Norb Gambuzza, PGA TOUR senior vice president of media and gaming. “Sports betting products in golf continue to experience tremendous growth so we’re excited to provide our fans with the option to experience exciting in-play games in a free-to-play environment.”

Players can win guaranteed weekly prizes up to $5,000. The first competition was held before the Genesis Invitational in February.

PGA Tour Fantasy Golf

The PGA Tour offers another free-to-play fantasy option as well.

“PGA Tour Fantasy Golf” works like a normal fantasy league. Players can choose four players for their starting lineup and two bench players that can be rotated into the starting lineup each round. But only three golfers can be used three times per four Segments that run from the start of the PGA Tour season in September all the way to the Tour Championship in August.

When creating an entry, you can make a league with your friends or join a public league.

Golfers earn points based on their score for a hole. At the end of tournaments, players can receive 1/10 of the FedEx Cup points their golfers in round 4 earned for the tournament.

Points are awarded as follows:

Hole by Hole Scoring:

• Double Eagle: 8 points

• Eagle: 5 points

• Birdie: 2 points

• Par: 0 points

• Bogey: -1 point

• Double Bogey or more: -3 points

End of Round Bonus:

Low Round of the Day (including ties): 10 points
2nd Low Round of the Day (including ties): 5 points
Bogey Free Round: 3 points

Experts from PGATOUR.com make recommendations for each tournament that can be found on the PGA Tour Fantasy Golf website.

Segment and overall prizes can be won. The overall prize is a $1,000 sponsor-specified gift card and the overall runner-up prize is a $500 sponsor-specified gift card. Four prizes are awarded for the Segments, with one per Segment. Segment winners receive a $500 sponsor-specified gift card and Segment runner-ups receive a $300 sponsor-specified gift card.
