Louisiana vs Ohio Prediction: Spread
Louisiana being listed as 19.5 point favorites is downright disrespectful to Ohio. Ohio has had a disappointing start to the season, dropping each of their first two games while being listed as the favorite, but they’re better than what the odds are saying. Ohio’s offense has struggled to put points on the board in this young season averaging only 17.4 per game, but look for QB Kurtis Rourke to find his stride against the Ragin’ Cajuns.
Louisiana has been the better team so far in 2021, coming off of a win and averaging 22.5 points per game and QB Levi Lewis has looked sharp thus far. He is averaging just under 300 passing yards per game and has yet to throw an interception. Louisiana’s defense will have to play at a higher level than they have been thus far, however, as they are giving up 31 points per game.
- Free Prediction: Ohio beats the 20 point spread
Louisiana vs Ohio Prediction: MoneyLine
Straight up, Louisiana will end up coming away with the victory in this SunBelt vs MAC matchup. Louisiana is a fairly skilled offensive team and Ohio’s defense has struggled thus far in 2021. The Bobcats simply aren’t good enough on either side of the ball to match up well against the Ragin’ Cajuns. Ohio may keep it close for awhile, but Louisiana will pull away with the win.
- Free Prediction: Louisiana 28 Ohio 17
Louisiana vs Ohio Prediction: Total
Neither of these teams have offenses that have shown the capability of putting up big numbers. They are both respectable enough to move the ball down the field, but lack big-play potential and have shown signs of being stagnant for stretches of time. Don’t expect too many fireworks in this one, as neither team has the playmakers to show out.
- Free Prediction: Under 54.5 point
Prop Predictions
Both teams have committed one turnover apiece on the season, but neither defense has been able to force a turnover. Expect that to change in this one as both Louisiana and Ohio will look to capitalize on each other’s weaknesses of a lack of playmaking on the defensive end.
- Free Predictions: Both teams will commit at least 2 turnovers apiece
