Utah looked really solid in their opening game while BYU struggled a bit offensively to put Arizona away. This looks like a game where both teams will come out ready but you cannot discount what happened in their games this past weekend.

This has all the makings of a classic rivalry game. The 95th Holy War is set to get underway Saturday night and there are a few storylines to follow. The Utes are ranked in the Top 25 while the Cougars are just outside at #31 in terms of receiving votes.

Utah has three transfers leading the way and none are bigger than quarterback Charlie Brewer who throws for 233 yards and two touchdowns last week. Utah should be able to move the ball very well offensively as the Cougars allowed 426 yards to a team picked at the bottom of the PAC-12 in the preseason. I look for Utah to have their way offensively.

With the struggles that BYU had on defense last week, I think that they will be in for a long day against a better Utah offense. Even if their defense holds strong and plays really well they might struggle on offense with three wideouts questionable for the kickoff of this game.
Utah is coming into this game fully healthy and I expect that to play a big role in the game. I look for Utah to win this one pretty easily.

I look for this game to be a 35-14 type of game and if BYU’s full wideout corp is available then you could be looking at a 42-28 type of game. This one should easily hit the over.

There is one prop bet that sticks out to me the most and that is the total for BYU is set at 20.5 points. I think that with the struggles they showed last season and the fact that their defense performed terribly they are not going to score many points at all.
