NBA Finals Props Preview
The Phoenix Suns will host the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals in a not-so-expected matchup, but it’s sure to provide a ton of excitement nonetheless.
2021 NBA Finals Props | Top Five Picks
Giannis Antetokounmpo is said to be a game-time decision for this one, as his presence or lack thereof will be an important factor. Let’s see how that affects our 2021 NBA Finals props!
Chris Paul Over 8.5 Assists (-150, BetMGM)
Chris Paul should be able to hit the over on this. Getting over eight assists is a lot, but Paul is one of the best floor generals of all time and he has a plethora of options he can feed the ball to including Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton.
It’s worth noting that Paul only had five such games of his 14 this postseason, but for the Suns to set the tone in the series early, Paul may be motivated to involve all of his teammates and help set the tempo with his playmaking prowess in front of a passionate home crowd.
Brook Lopez Over 15.5 Points (-122, FanDuel)
Brook Lopez showed that he can take over a game at any given moment. We saw that in Game 5 in the Bucks’ last series against the Atlanta Hawks, as he put up 33 points on 14-of-18 shooting.
Lopez did much of his damage in the paint, but if Ayton gives him too many problems down there on defense, then Lopez is more than capable of stretching it out to behind the arc or the midrange area to put up points on the board.
Khris Middleton over 6.5 assists (+111, DraftKings)
Khris Middleton has proven that he can be a great playmaker when called upon, and he’ll need to continue to do that if the Bucks hope to win, especially if Antetokounmpo continues to be out.
Middleton will draw a lot of attention in the midrange and behind the arc, so when double teams come his way, he can swing it to any one of his teammates for easy looks.
Jrue Holiday under 37.5 points, rebounds, and assists (-103, DraftKings)
Jrue Holiday should be able to put up high point and assist totals in this one, as he’s had to carry the lion’s share of work in the absence of Antetokounmpo.
Holiday is always active on both sides of the floor and has a great ability to find open teammates. However, the Suns are a great rebounding team, which could prevent Holiday from securing too many boards.
Devin Booker Over 27.5 Points (The Lines)
Devin Booker is one of the league’s most dangerous scorers, and with his ability to get to the rim, hit pull-up jumpers in the midrange and shoot the three, he has all the makings to take the Bucks’ defense to task.
Booker should also be motivated to come out and play in front of his home crowd and set the tempo early, especially when it comes to the NBA Finals. Expect him to put up at least 30 points in this one!
