Money-Lines
- Money Lines are typically listed next to each fighter’s name. For example;
- Deontay Wilder (+225) , $100 bet wins $225
- Tyson Fury (-303), $303 bet wins $100
- It is not uncommon to see some heavy favorites in boxing as -1000,-2000, and even -10000 are common.
Total Rounds Over/Under Example
- Over 6.5 Rounds +110 ($100 bet wins 110)
- Under 6.5 Rounds -130 ($130 bet wins $100)
- The fight will need to pass the 1:30 minute mark in the 6th round to be considered over, or end before 1:30 min to be under.
- Rounds offered included ranged from 1.5 to 8.5+
Money-line & Probability
For you stat junkies, converting the moneyline of a fight into probability can give you a clear picture of value. For example, a -450 fighter has a probability of 78.6%. Do you think this fighter wins this fight more than 79%? If yes, you have your edge. Or, Does their opponent win this fight more than 21.4% of the time? Try this tool!.
Records
Boxers are notorious for having a padded record as they work their way up the ladder. When comparing records make sure to dig deeper into the competition each fighter has faced. Being undefeated is great, but we are looking for quality not quantity. BoxRec is a great resource for dissecting a fighter’s record.
Punch Stats
Breaking down a fighter’s punch stats can give you a better perspective as to their fighting style.
