College Basketball FanDuel DFS Picks

The NCAA tournament is finally here, and hopefully, the NCAA tournament will not have any interruptions. It has been over nearly two years since the nets were cut, and a team was crowned champion.

March Madness is always exciting as anything could happen with a few upsets in each round or a Cinderella team making much further than most fans thought. The first round of the sixteen-game slate will tip-off at 12:15, but this is for the 12:15 slate.

These are my College Basketball FanDuel DFS Picks picks for this Friday.

GUARD: Max Abmas $8,000

Abmas was the nation’s leading scorer who averaged 24.2 PPG and shot 43.3 percent from the three-point line. His success is due to the type of offense the Golden Eagles run. The Golden Eagles make 11.3 three-pointers a game.

He played 120 out of 120 possible minutes in the Summit League tournament, which means that he will mostly play all 40 minutes or very close to it in this game. The Buckeyes rank 79th in defensive efficiency nationally, but Abmas should have the ball in his hand for most possessions with a 21.2 percent assist rate this season.

GUARD: Moses Moody $7,400

This game has the highest under/over the total in the first round, which makes playing Moody appealing in this spot. Colgate is second in scoring, averaging 86.3 PPG. Arkansas 82.4 PPG, which means this will be a very fast-paced game.

Both teams rank within the top 25 of adjusted tempo nationally. On the other hand, Colgate struggles on the defensive end of the court. They are ranked 139th in defensive efficiency nationally. This is a good matchup for the projected lottery pick in the upcoming draft.

GUARD: Keon Johnson $5,500

Over the past eight games, the freshman has been heating up on the offense end of the court. He averaged 14.0 PPG across 42.2 percent shooting from the field. Johnson is a good play because he has a 26.8 percent usage rate.

Johnson also has a 21.0 assist percent rate and an 11.0 rebounding rate.

GUARD: Victor Bailey Jr. $4,500

He averaged 19.3 PPG, 2.8 APG, and 2.3 RPG in 31.8 minutes per game as a member of the starting unit. This will be an interesting game for him as he will see a few familiar systems in this matchup against Oregon State as he played in the Pac-12.

FORWARD: Neemias Queta $8,600

Queta is a seven-footer who leads Utah State in both scoring and rebounding. He has a usage rate of over 25 percent. Texas Tech is a very good defensive team, but the junior will have something to prove with a chance to raise his draft stock on the biggest stage.

FORWARD: Justin Smith $6,500

Colgate started four guards this year. There will be a lot of rebounds that will be up for grabs in this fast-paced matchup. Smith leads the team with a 6.9 RPG and also leads the team in field goal percentage. He also has a 10.2 percent assist rate.

He should be able to get a lot of easy baskets against Colgate.

FORWARD: Rodney Howard $3,400

Moses Wright will be out who is the Yellow Jackets leading scorer and ACC Player of the Year. Georgia Tech lives and dies with its starting lineup as the team lacks production from its bench. It is believed that Howard will be in the starting lineup and not Khalid Moore.

UTILITY: Jared Butler $7,700 or Mark Vital $5,500

Butler is a first-team All-Big 12 selection who averaged 17.1 PPG and 4.8 RPG. Baylor thrives against non-conference opponents. Harford needs to keep the game under a double-digit lead.

Vital averaged 6.0 PPG and 6.8 RPG. In this game, he may be able to get a double-double candidate.
