Craps is a very popular casino game that is played against other players or against the bank. When you play at the casino or online, you are playing against the bank. Some people think it is complicated, but it is actually very basic and fun.

Craps tables have a double layout with both ends of the table looking identical to each other. This allows more people to stand at the table and watch or play. The layout might look confusing because of the different types of bets you can make. However, keep in mind that the most successful bets are the basic and easy bets.

The more complicated you get with your betting increases the bank’s edge on winning. As a beginner with craps, stick to the basics and chances are you will do very well.

Craps is played in different rounds. On the table, there will be a puck that is white on one side and black on the other. The white side says on and the black side says off. When the white side of the puck is showing ‘on’ this means there is currently a round in play. When the black side is showing ‘off’ this means the round has not yet begun.

Only one person really gets to play the craps game, as the thrower of the dice. The other people standing around the table will be betting for or against the outcome of the roll of the dice. When the game begins, the first throw of the dice is called the come-out roll.

If the shooter throws a 7 or an 11, he or she automatically wins and gets another chance to roll the dice again. However, if the shooter throws a 2, 3, or a 12, it is craps and he or she loses automatically. He or she can have another come out roll and try again. If on the third roll the shooter rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, then the puck will be flipped over to the white side showing ‘on’ and the real game will begin.

The puck will be placed on the number that appears on the dice starting the game. This number will be known as the point. Once the game begins, the rules change a little and the last number you want the shooter to roll, or you if you are rolling the dice, is a 7. This is where people get confused. On the come-out roll, a 7 is good, but during the game, you want a 7 for the last roll.

The goal of craps is to roll the point number. Again, the point is established with the come-out roll. You want to roll the point first and then a 7. For example, the shooter rolls the first roll and gets 11, so he gets another chance. The second roll the shooter rolls an 8. The game will begin and 8 will be the ‘point’.

The point is your goal for the next roll of the dice when the game begins. Once the 8 or the point is reached, a roll of a 7 will be a win. However, if an 8 is not reached first, then the 7 is a loss.

When craps are played, it is played with two dice. This is why the number one is not an option. The shooter and the spectators can bet on the game of craps, but the person rolling the dice is required to place a bet. You can bet for or against the outcome of the roll of the dice. The bets can be a simple win or lose or a specific bet like snake eyes.

The more specific your bet is the more money and higher pay you can get. Bets usually pay evenly. This means, if you bet two dollars and win, then you will win four dollars.

As a newbie to craps, it is usually best to stick with the basic bets until you are comfortable changing up your bets. Odds are usually against you with complex bets and it lowers the probability.
